There I was… standing at the opening of my very own art gallery, right in the heart of the Denneweg in The Hague. The room filled with people, art, and conversation — and me, right at the center of something we had poured months of dedication into. It was an evening full of emotions: pride, relief, excitement, and above all, gratitude. Finally, I could share what had so far only existed behind the scenes.
blndsh.gallery is more than just a gallery. It’s an extension of myself. The name blndsh quite literally means “sort of blond” — a playful wink, but also a statement. It’s not a gimmick for blond women in the art world; it’s about the spirit I want to embody here: a little cheeky, a little sexy, always on the edge — but never over it. Art that teases, without shouting.
At the heart of blndsh are the artists whose vision and talent give the space its distinctive voice. They are the pulse that keeps the gallery alive, each bringing their own story, style, and energy. My role is to create a stage where their work can be presented in a way that inspires, engages, and connects with our audience — both here in The Hague and beyond.
The opening wasn’t only a celebration of a new space for contemporary abstract art — it was the beginning of a shared journey with the artists, collectors, and visitors who will shape what blndsh becomes. It’s a place to not just see art, but to experience it. A space for inspiration, conversation, and moments that stay with you long after you leave.
With the doors open from Thursday through Sunday, blndsh.gallery welcomes everyone to explore the world of abstract art — accessible, yet full of character. The opening night on May 9 was only the first chapter, and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
